Ilene Eisen, a Monterey-based CPA has been named Chairperson of the State Technology Committee of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CPA’s). She begins her two-year term on July 1, 1999.
The California Society of CPA’s is a professional organization of 30,000 members, organized in 14 chapters. Eisen has served on the Technology Committee for three years and on the Management Consulting Services Committee for one year before being appointed as chair of the State Technology Committee.
“I’m thrilled to be appointed as Chairperson of the Technology Committee,” said Eisen, who runs her own business as well as volunteering in several business organizations and public school committees. “I believe that we need to embrace technology to become more efficient and effective in the accounting profession.”
Eisen has combined her formal education in Information Systems with over 20 years of accounting experience to create a solid foundation for her accounting software consulting practice. By specifically targeting accounting software, Eisen provides a greater efficiency and higher quality and timeliness of information for her clients.
